How to Use CrayonCraft
- Choose your photos. Drag and drop photos onto the upload area, or click to browse your files. You can create a single coloring page or start a full coloring book with multiple photos.
- Edit and customize. Adjust the detail level and line weight to get the perfect look. For coloring books, you can crop images, add captions, reorder pages, and design custom front and back covers.
- Export and enjoy. Download your coloring page as a PNG or PDF, or export your entire coloring book as a print-ready PDF. You can also order a professionally printed book delivered to your door.
Troubleshooting
Processing takes too long
The first time you visit CrayonCraft, the AI model needs to download (approximately 50MB). This is a one-time download that gets cached by your browser. After the initial load, processing a photo typically takes 5-15 seconds. If it's consistently slow:
- Try using a desktop or laptop computer instead of a mobile device for faster processing.
- Close other browser tabs to free up memory.
- Make sure you have a stable internet connection for the initial model download.
Photos don't look right
If your coloring pages don't look the way you expected:
- Too much detail / too busy: Lower the Detail slider toward "Minimal" for cleaner, simpler outlines.
- Lines too thin or too thick: Adjust the Line Weight slider to find the right balance.
- Important parts missing: Try cropping the photo to focus on the main subject before processing.
- Photo is too dark or low-contrast: The AI works best with well-lit photos that have clear subjects. Try a different photo if results are poor.
PDF issues
If you're having trouble with PDF exports:
- PDF won't download: Make sure your browser allows downloads from this site. Try disabling any download-blocking extensions.
- PDF looks blurry when printed: The free preview PDF is low-resolution by design. For print-quality output, use the Full Quality or Maximum Quality export options.
- Pages are in the wrong order: Return to the book builder and use the reorder controls to arrange pages before exporting.
